Cherries 'n Cream : I think the rose is prettier
than the one shown in the J&P catalog. Fast
rebloom and weathers well.
Honey Perfume blooms in
great clusters. The effect of
the full blooms and buds is like
a morning sunrise.
Some of Our Favorite Roses
Some of our favorite roses
Moonsprite: I can't help but love this one. It is the
most photogenic rose I have ever grown. This is an older
floribunda that is often overlooked. White, creamy with
hints of yellow. Handles rain well too.
Rainbow Sorbet was sent to me as a substitute
rose. It is beautiful in form and color with sturdy,
healthy foliage. This one pictured is a "water rose".
Citrus Splash was given to me to
try in my garden. The colors are so
deep and the new leaves a delicious
chocolate brown. Stays in bloom too.
I have them in own root plants, ready
to start getting bigger right away.
This year I was able to get it as bare
root and as a gallon buster.
John Franklin is a zone 3
rose that is popular for a good
reason: hardy and pretty.
New Dawn a climbing, hardy
white toned rose that did well in
2007 here. I will let you know if it
comes back with the minimal
mulching I provide.
Lady Carolina is another often
overlooked rose. The cluster
blooms are small but hardy and
long lasting. Fast rebloom.
All pictures on this page were taken by me, Dani Haviland, and
are not to be reused without my permission. If you ask, I'll
probably give it but please acknowledge the photographer.
Moore's Pink Perpetual is a
new Ralph Moore rose that is in
high demand and short supply. I
am trying to get more of these in.
